BOXERS BEAT RED RAIDERS 28 TO 20

     While the air was festive tonight with the Brockton School system and alumni celebrating at the high school that was built 40 years ago. The Brockton Boxers completed tonight's celebration with an impressive win over the Fitchburg Red Raiders 28 to 20.

Senior Trevon Offley, running back for the Boxers rushed for 215 yards and scored two touch downs to carry the Boxers to their victory. Brockton pulled ahead to have a 14 point lead in the beginning of the second half leading over Fitchburg 21 to 7 but like last weeks game their was a rally by the other team and DJ Wilson took the ball in to make it 13 and the Raiders took the PAT and the scores were tightening up to 21 to 14. Brockton tried to punt from their own 37 yard line but the raiders recovered the ball on the 8 yard line and was able to score another touch down but missed the PAT to keep the score at 21 to 20 in Brocktons favor. The Boxers were able to pull ahead with another touchdown and a PAT and kept the score at 28 to 20 with 10 minutes remaining and kept the Fitchburg Red Raiders at Bay.




     So with Brockton kicking off its 40 years anniversary celebration and hundreds of Alumni showing up for the game. The crowds, band, cheerleaders and the players had two great reasons to celebrate. The victory over the Fitchburg Red Raiders and 40 years of Brockton being an outstanding city high school.
